Twenty ESD Seniors Announced as Cum Laude Society Inductees
April 25, 2023
Founded in 1906, the Cum Laude Society honors the academic achievement of students in secondary schools. ESD was granted its chapter in 2007, and a small percentage of seniors are inducted annually. This year, 20 seniors were recognized for their unwavering commitment to academic excellence, receiving a pin and certificate of membership to the Cum Laude Society.
Modeled after Phi Beta Kappa at the collegiate level, the Cum Laude Society is an indication that superior academic achievement is revered at an educational institution such as ESD. Students who receive this recognition go above and beyond not only academically but morally, aligning with the Cum Laude Society's mission of promoting excellence, justice, and honor.
These students are model citizens and individuals who have demonstrated good character, honor, and integrity in all aspects of school life, acting in accordance with the philosophies and policies governing our school. Please join us in congratulating these well-deserving seniors on their outstanding achievements.
