The Hallmarks of an ESD Education - academic rigor, a strong sense of community, an understanding of self, and a faith-informed foundation of values - provide a strong framework to share priorities in our programming across divisions and how ESD delivers on our Mission.

As part of the School’s strategic plan, ESD2030, we are moving toward full implementation of ESDistinction: Curriculum of Purpose. Through ESDistinction, ESD students experience aligned, intentional programming, develop essential skills, live our Episcopal virtues, dive into high-interest curriculum content, and explore and contribute to our local and global communities. ESDistinction is scaffolded to provide students with opportunities for discovery in lower school, exploration in middle school, and cultivation of skills in upper school. Students reflect regularly to discern their passion and purpose, connecting our mission, our expectations for students, the experiences students have in the classroom, and their extracurricular activities.
