124 Eagles Recognized by College Board for Exemplary AP Performance

October 27, 2023

The Advanced Placement Scholar Awards recognize high school students with exemplary college-level achievement on their AP exams. This year, 124 ESD students, including two sophomores (now juniors), scored high enough on their AP exams to be awarded the title of an AP Scholar and more. Levels are cumulative and represent the scholar's work across all years of eligibility. One student earned a perfect score on an exam as a ninth grader.

ESD offers 32 Advanced Placement courses on campus, from AB Calculus to World History. Students at ESD who take an AP must take the examination or submit a final work product. Not only does their score indicate college readiness, but it also serves as a way to distinguish college applications and helps open up possible scholarship opportunities. Some colleges and universities offer college credit for laudable AP scores. The Episcopal School of Dallas was also named to the Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll 2023, earning the highest distinction in all three categories.
