Spirit Wear Spirit Wear is the terminology used to describe ESD-branded apparel. Special dress days throughout the school year will call for "Spirit Dress," which you can purchase at The Eagles Nest Campus Store, the virtual store, or the Uniform Resale Shop. ESD+ Before and After School Programs |
ESD+ offers before and after-school programs for lower school students. These programs are led by lower school faculty and meet weekly on campus throughout the school year. ESD+ Kids on Campus (KOC) and Nesters provide extended day care for lower school students staffed by lower school faculty. Registration for KOC/Nesters typically opens around July 10, and registration for ESD+ programs typically opens around July 17. Registration closes for all programs in early August. Information will be emailed to parents in June. |

Every Monday (or the first day of the school week) during the school year, you will receive an email with the subject line "ESD News You Can Use." It will be sent from Jackie Robertson, Associate Director of Communications and Marketing. Please read these emails closely each week for important community-wide and grade-level-specific information. These emails can also be found in your Veracross parent portal by clicking the envelope in the upper right corner of your screen. If you are not receiving these emails and have checked your spam folder, please contact our support team. |

May 24, 2024, was the deadline to submit the lifetime immunization record. (New families only) August 1, 2024, was the deadline to submit all supplemental medical forms, including annual physicals. Please have your physician complete the Annual Physical Form. All students must have a new physical every year. All medical records and forms must be submitted through Magnus Health through the Veracross parent portal. Login to Veracross, scroll down to the Resources section and click Student Health Forms (Magnus). We cannot accept forms sent directly to the school. Veracross Parent Portal Login to Access Magnus Health Magnus Health is the provider of our secure web-based electronic medical record system and your child’s health records will be initiated online. This information is HIPAA and FERPA-protected and is unique to each student. |

ESD+ Before and After School Registration |

About ESD+:ESD+ offers teacher-led programs ranging from 6-8 weeks to year-long activities. All middle school programs occur on campus and are facilitated by ESD faculty and staff. Students wishing to form or lead their own clubs are encouraged to do so. The middle school years present a tremendous opportunity for students to explore a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Many students participate in an array of ESD+ activities and extended day programs facilitated by our talented and passionate middle school faculty who love putting their knowledge to use outside of the classroom. |

TextbooksTextbook ordering is through MBS Direct and opens on July 1. Free shipping is typically available from July 29 to August 4. Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping and make sure to place your orders by August 1 so they arrive by the first day of school. No schedule is needed to purchase books. All students take the same core subjects in each middle school grade. Questions? Please reach out to Amy Henderson, ESD Academic Dean. School SuppliesSupplies are included in tuition and issued to students during orientation. If additional supplies are needed for a specific course, teachers will contact parents. All students are encouraged to have a backpack and reusable water bottle. |

Uniforms |

Every Wednesday and on other days throughout the year, students are required to be in formal uniforms. All students wear a blazer and a button-down shirt, accompanied by a school tie with gray dress pants, or accompanied by an ESD-plaid skirt. Students may not wear sweatshirts or athletic apparel on formal uniform days. On a day designated as a formal uniform day, students are required to be in formal uniform for the entire day. White Shirt: White oxford button-down or no-pocket white polo (ESD monogram or plain with no monogram or logo) with 2 to 5 buttons; clean, tucked in with waistband visible and appropriately sized with all but the top button buttoned. Seniors have the privilege of wearing either a light blue or yellow oxford or polo, following the guidelines for the white polo. Both the oxford and the polo can be short or long-sleeved. On formal uniform days, only the oxford is acceptable. Navy Blazer: Must be worn on all formal uniform days, including Eucharist, and other days as specified. The blazer should fit well and should be in good condition. Gray Slacks: To be purchased from our uniform vendor and worn with a solid or braided belt. Skirt: Navy-green-gold ESD plaid to be purchased from our uniform vendor. The skirt may not be altered to remove the inner shorts or hemmed to be shortened. Gray Shorts: To be purchased from our uniform vendor. Dress shorts of appropriate length to achieve a professional appearance; not permitted on formal dress days. Navy Sweater: Solid navy cardigan, pullover, crew, or V-neck (small logo or monogram permitted). On formal days, the sweater must be worn under a blazer. Undergarments: Undergarments may not have logos or colors that are visible through the uniform, and may not be exposed or visible in any way. Socks: Solid white or navy, small logo acceptable. Sweatshirt: Solid blue sweatshirt or fleece (ESD logo or no logo) is permitted only on regular dress days. A monogram or logo is permitted if 2” or less in size. An exception is made for an ESD-sanctioned team or activity blue sweatshirt, in which case lettering can be larger than 2”. Coats: Navy ESD jackets, ESD Varsity Letter jacket, or plain navy jackets may be worn both inside and outside on regular uniform days. Non-uniform coats may be worn outside, but must be removed while inside buildings. Shoes: Brown, tan, or black dress shoes, all black or all white athletic shoes, navy or white & black saddle oxfords are all acceptable options. Shoes must be clean and in good condition, with enclosed toe and heel. The heel may not exceed 1.0” in height. Seniors have the privilege of wearing cowboy boots. Accessories: Hats and caps are not permitted inside a school building during the school day. ESD scarves and white or navy scarves are permitted on non-formal uniform days. Belt: Solid or braided brown or black belt to be worn at all times with shorts or pants; no large belt buckles and no logos (other than an ESD logo) Jewelry and Make-up: Appropriate and simple. Hair: Clean, well-groomed. Only natural hair dye colors are permitted. Facial hair is not permitted. Tights/Leggings: Tights or leggings must be solid weave and in good condition without flares/bell bottoms, rips, holes, or sheer material. Tights or leggings must be solid navy only. To achieve a professional appearance, no sweatpants, yoga pants, or long underwear can be worn under the skirt. |

Community Service Opportunities & Service Council |
New Upper School Students: The Community Service Council will provide leadership for Upper School community service events and projects. As members of the council, you are servant leaders on campus and within the community. Members go above and beyond leading other students in service opportunities and raising awareness within their school and community of current needs. Being a member of the Community Service Council requires leadership, dedication and responsibility. You may apply to be a part of the council, please complete this application. Vestry Leadership Opportunity |
VestryRising Freshmen: we need servant leaders who will help make our worship inspirational, transformational, and dependable.
